A Tale of Two Cultures

Dear Everyone:
Yea soccer sounds fun, I miss playing in garden City. Its too cold to play out here right now. Last week with the windshield one day it got to -20! But its a lot warmer now. Which is good, because we are walking every other day (the elders share a car with the sisters).

This ward is pretty crazy, there is some serious drama that goes on. Bad business deals between members, and just some absolutely crazy stuff that has happened here, and is currently happening. There are some really cool members here. There is a family from San Louis Obispo. But I think I already told you that.
Being in an area of working both Spanish and English is crazy. Spanish work is a ton more relaxed and set back, because of the culture, but English work is much like a business. Schedules, times, and appointments. It's a lot different and I'm having a hard time getting used to it.
When no one else will listen, teach a cat. Everyone knows how effective this strategy is.
We also have to get integrated to the ward which is also new to me. It is super intimidating. We are trying to get involved in the elders quorum and seminary, and mutual, and just about everything. I taught seminary this morning, at 5:30. But I think that we will be attending at least once a week. And getting involved in home teaching and good stuff like that. Its really hard for me, so please pray that I can really become a part of the structure of the ward. Its especially hard because Elder Banderas doesn't speak super good English, and a lot of people don't understand him. But it all good, we area having a lot of fun.
Our baptism got moved to this Saturday, but I sure it will happen then. We weren't able to get the district leader up here to give him his interview. We had an exchange with the district leader this week, and it was super awesome. His name is Elder Ives, and he's a really good missionary and I learned a ton.

This week i got a package from aunt Frances, and Grandma and Grandpa. Some good stuff! Aunt Frances sent me some of her homemade Granola which is super good.
The poopies fell asleep during their discussion.
side note from his mother:  Also, to all of Ethan's friends, he has promised to do something about the bad buzzes he has been getting on his hair.
pps: What's that hanging in the back left? A dream catcher?now there's an effective strategy.
Everything is good here, hope everything is good there. Love you all tons!

Love Ethan
